AT SWIFT WATER DESIGN, PROCESS BASED RESTORATION ISN'T A HOBBY. IT'S A LIFE PATH.

If you want to contact Swift Water Design about a Process Based Restoration project you are involved in, or are interested in getting PBR training for your team, look no further. Perhaps you’re looking for Kevin Swift or someone on the team. Maybe you want to come join us in the field to learn more about Process Based Restoration. You may be a journalist, photographer, documentarian or student with a project related to Process Based Restoration. Regardless of the why, you’ve come to the right place to get in touch.

What to know about getting in touch with us:

During the busiest part of our build season, which is typically April – November, we are often camping and working in areas with limited to no cell service. Our “office” conditions literally depend on the weather and time of year. We usually have wifi near camp, but not in the project reaches where we work, and so communications for many people on our team happen in the mornings and evenings. We don’t keep to a typical Monday – Friday schedule, as our days off are dictated by factors unrelated to what day of the week it is. Our Business Manager has a mobile office in the bed of her truck and is often towing one of our equipment trailers from project to project.

The less busy times of year, December – March typically, still find us working projects in areas which aren’t covered in snow. This is also when we take holidays, rest and plan for the upcoming season. Many of us head to the same mountains we’ve been working during the summer months to ski. It is a good time for planning and discussions.

All of this is to say that while we may not be able to respond as quickly as a typical four walls in a building based business, we do respond as soon as we can. We are happy to make time during the day to communicate, and scheduling calls, be it over the phone or on a web meeting, works well. We make use of texting often because it requires less cell coverage to get through than the phone.

All emails are initially routed to info@swiftwaterdesign.com. When you reach out, try to give us as much information about your inquiry as possible, and best times and ways to get in touch. Doing this will eliminate the lag time between when we are out of wifi/cell service range so that we can be more efficient in getting back to you with real information.

Why go into so many words about contacting us?  Operating a professional, efficient and responsible business in the conditions we do takes effort, but we believe in in our mission, our clients and all of the the life that depends on our work. We value genuine human communication, and the relationships that result. Swift Water Design believes that transparency in all aspects of our work, both within our company and with our clients, partners and collaborators, fosters respect for the whole as well as the individual.

We appreciate you reaching out to us, and look forward to hearing from you.
